About The Disavowed:
Matthew Howzer never knew his father - a decorated soldier who died in combat. But family stories say he wasn’t part of any ordinary unit. He served in The United Five, a poorly kept government secret and the stuff of mid-’90s internet conspiracy lore. Their mission: stop Komodo, a grandiose cult turned terrorist faction claiming to wield knowledge from another realm - power capable of reshaping the world. That secret war ended in 1989, with heavy losses on both sides, including Matthew’s father.

About Mercy Sparx: Daddy Issues #2
After a five year hiatus fighting whatever angel commanded her to, Mercy was finally free of obligation, and took up residence above the Halo & Horn Bar. A sweetheart deal with rent included as part of an agreement to do odd jobs for the occult magic master, Wallace Bordeux (a ninety year old man in a body that refuses to age past ten), familiar to long time Mercy fans. And it includes a sweet secret speak-easy headquarters underground.
When a distress call from the one and only Father Kael Donavon came through (Mercy's favorite crush despite being an exorcist), Hank and Mercy rushed to the rescue, only to find out that this mission was going to be something much more difficult than their usual fare. Not only a physical challenge, but one that Mercy may never recover from emotionally.
